Cardiff Insomnia Massage & Aromatherapy
Relief for Sleeplessness
We offer tailor made massage treatments and aromatherapy blends for clients with insomnia and sleepless nights. Our specialized aromatherapy massage treatment is suitable for people of all ages and conditions and aimed to give you personalised symptomatic relief. We intend to address your specific discomfort and help give you symptomatic easement. Every person is different - we do not intend to 'label' your discomfort - just provide simple everyday self-help tips and practical ways to gain relief.
Aromatherapy essential oils may be blended to ease some of the effects of the chronic restless and sleepless nights, associated with your particular type of insomnia. Insomnia has long been researched by Cardiff University and their 'Insomnia lab' along Park Place in Cardiff has published a few scientific papers about the use of essential oils in insomnia and restless sleep patterns. These essential oils (together with magnesium) were shown to induce deep sleep and minimize the REM associated with superficial and restless sleepless nights and insomnia.
A wide range of insomnia patterns include people with interrupted sleep, poor quality or shallow REM sleep, as well as the inability to fall asleep or return to sleep after your shallow sleep has been interrupted. We will certainly address ongoing muscular conditions and tension with various trigger point therapy treatments and myofascial soft tissue manipulations to ease this tension.
Hopi Ear candles, Facial Shiatsu Acupressure, as well as Reflexology will also be offered. We will discuss sleep hygiene and ways for you to maximise the environmental bedroom hygiene.

Evidence from RCT clinical papers indicate lavender as the main beneficial essential oil. This was especially the case with mid-life women. Lavender has also been demonstrated as very effective in aiding sleep for during chemotherapy treatments.
Shorter versions of the insomnia massage may be performed without oil, over your (light cotton) clothing. This will mainly involve Facial Shiatsu and sports massage or trigger pointing. When performed in this way, this massage routine is deeply relaxing and soothing. Both Reflexology and Hopi Ear candling are also very beneficial in aiding sleep and insomnia.
For longer sessions of the insomnia massage treatment, special hot stones therapy massage uses a highly specialised blend of Aromatherapy essential oils that will be tailor made to suit your personal insomnia needs and preferences. The use of the hot volcanic basalt stones deeply relaxes your muscle tissue and allows the restful and smooth release of your tension. Insomnia massage and reflexology testimonials:
Foot Reflexology. I visited Cardiff for five days on business and I choose Marshall reflexology clinic due to their location and excellent reviews. I have reflexology at least twice a month, but in Marshall's case, I went back twice in the same week for reflexology. The treatment itself was fantastic, the sleep I benefited from for the duration of my trip (and for a whole month after) was peaceful and uninterrupted. His knowledge of sports nutrition and general diet tips are fascinating. You will pay double this in Germany and receive much less benefit. Happy to recommend reflexology here to everyone.
Reflexology for perfect sleep. Do yourself a kindness and visit Marshall Massage when in Cardiff. I have often needed to attend many specialist clinics for my various ailments. Without doubt, Marshall combines a wonderful array of knowledge with a genuine caring touch. After three reflexology sessions, my insomnia and panic attacks are radically reduced and I feel full of vital life energy. I only wish I found this massage clinic many years ago, as it would have saved me a lot of money. A true gem.

All my expectations were not only met but also exceeded. I particularly enjoyed Hopi ear candling, which was not only relaxing for my body but also for my mind.

I have done a number of sessions of reiki and shiatsu with Philip. I feel much calmer and generally have a better type of energy as well. Philip is very professional and he tailors a treatment to your particular needs.
All in all I would highly recommend Philip to anyone that I know.

I have not had a bad night's sleep since I saw you, three weeks ago.
Archie, Cardiff 27 March 2014
"Beyond expectations. After seeing a variety of positive reviews I decided to book a consultation - I had been enduring poor sleep, suffering stress from bereavement and very low energy levels. I'm not sure what my expectations were, but was so pleased to see an improvement after the initial visit. Phillip certainly seems to take an interest in your personal situation and finds a balance in listening to your needs but also guiding you with his obvious expertise. I look forward to each visit as I know it'll not only be a wonderful hour of relaxation but the benefits will last much longer than any massage I've had before. Have already recommended him to a number of friends and family"

"Fabulous massage that's tailored to your specific needs. I went to see Phillip to help me relax due to my insomnia. He really listened and spent time chatting with me. I had a shiatsu massage first then the next week an aromatherapy massage. Both were amazing and after the aromatherapy one I slept most of the night without any sleeping tablets. Something I have not done for a long time. Thanks Phillip, I can't wait to come back."

" I thoroughly enjoyed the treatment and found Phillip extremely professional and caring. Phillip ... concocted me a "sleep potion" which I found extremely beneficial in aiding my sleep pattern. The facilities were extremely clean, tidy and very very relaxing. I could have fallen asleep on the premises."

"Exceptional treatment. Really very effective. Suffered from insomnia and huge amount of stress, there-from. 4 reflexology treatments so far, and I am already enjoying wonderfully peaceful sleep and the aromatherapy mix I was given is certainly addressing my daily stress. Very highly recommend to any one who really needs a personally tailor made treatment". - Robert Tin Pontypridd 22 October 2011
"I used to snore quite badly, I have been told. Marshall recommended that I try Hopi Candles. They are wonderfully relaxing and the whole session is very pampering, with a gentle hissing of the flame and the crackling sounds against my eardrum. I opted for the full one hour treatments that included shiatsu facials as well. Had 4 sessions so far and the wife is VERY happy. My sleep is much deeper and the snoring has almost disappeared." - Robert Newport 7 Dec 2015
